BRAD HATFIELD AND GAYE TOLAN HATFIELD RELEASE NEW ALBUM “STRAIGHT UP: JAZZ AND COCKTAILS, VOL. 8”

Composers Brad Hatfield and Gaye Tolan Hatfield have released their new album “Straight Up: Jazz and Cocktails, Vol. 8”. The album recalls the warm and mysterious, retro-romantic feel of the 1950s-60s cocktail lounge and soft jazz sounds of the era. Performers include jazz veterans Mike Monaghan and Bob Bowlby on saxophones, Les Harris Jr. on drums, John Patitucci on bass, and Brad Hatfield on piano.

This is the 8th album in their sophisticated background jazz series, written and recorded specifically for use in Film/TV. Songs from the series have enjoyed hundreds of placements over the years because of the musical integrity, dialog-friendly mix and performances, and the ability to move forward in the mix when needed.
